An orphan gets published

For those of you interested in orphan ministry, or simply in reading an amazing testimony of God's grace, here is a link to an autobiographical account of an orphan who grew up in St. Petersburg and is now involved in orphan ministry himself after his life got turned around.

It's exciting especially if you've been to St. Petersburg and visited the churches and orphanages mentioned in the story. This is life here, and here's how a life could turn out, with the right intervention.

You can buy this book for your Kindle (free for Prime members), and it's also available in paperback. http://www.amazon.com/Infinitely-More-ebook/dp/B004U6WQOS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1329591371&sr=8-2

  1. I bought this book many months ago and loved reading it. I was sad when he was in the Chicago area and we missed seeing him. It is a fantastic ministy he is doing and we are proud to support Alex.

  3. I actually haven't met him, I just know we have mutual friends and ministry goals. I figure... there can never be too much orphan ministry! One of those situations where you hope to "put yourself out of work." Reading about the abusive (Russian) adoptive family made me sad, though. I would like to see more domestic adoptions but I realize how much is involved with trying to keep the kids safe from predators.

  4. I'd love to get that. I saw it was free for download one day on Kindle.... I almost bought a Kindle just to get it, then I regained sanity....but I wonder if I'll ever get the book.

  5. You can read about his background in various articles online.

I'm reading it a little bit at a time as it hits too close to home reading the book and simultaneously interacting with orphans here.

Being reminded of how they get taken advantage of is tough, but hopefully will lead to more advocacy.
