You said you were looking for a job?

This is what a job posting in St. Petersburg looks like:

What it says:

Salesclerk needed! In this neighborhood!

-not on the street (in a building)

-female, 25-55 yrs of age

-1 yr experience in retail

-work schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off

-salary: 15,000 rubles/month (about $470)

-official salary; employee benefits

  1. I LOVE this sort of thing! Little bits and pieces that help us see a different life.

I have a language question, though - Why is there no "e" at the end of "magazin" (after the "v")?

  2. Oh! You mean the case. I would guess because it is sort of directional, requiring the accusative case. As opposed to just indicating location.

I know there are other examples of this usage, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
