The retreat sounds wonderful, but I am going to chastise you for not taking photos. I would have LOVED that! Sophia actually reminds me of Olive. Olive does the tantrums and head-butting. Poor Lydia! We all just say there horrified (and glad Monnie is not now, nor has ever been, anything like that!) It is so easy to blame "parenting" but I just have to think that it must be mostly temperament. <br /><br />I think I feel as you do about celebrating on the vigil of a holiday - it leaves the day itself looming and empty. We open gifts on Christmas Day. I am trying to develop some traditions for Christmas Eve....but it's an uphill battle, because mainly I just have to work.
