I read it when it first...I highly recommend Gulag. I read it when it first came out. My strongest impression from it is that Solzhenitsyn belived we are all sinners, vs. good people and bad people. That had he found himself in the position of guard as opposed to prisoner he might have found himself making some bad choices too. Perhaps I should reread it and refresh my memory and be sure that that impression from years ago is accurate!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
